Not CSK Vs MI, but the clash between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Chennai Super Kings has become the talk of the town after what transpired last season. Historically, the Super Kings have had upper hand over the Royal Challengers, but the rivalry intensified last season.
RCB needed to win their match Vs CSK to reach the playoffs and the Bengaluru based side did the unthinkable as the rivalry heated up between the two set of fans. Now, after that once in a generation clash last season, the two sides will collide on Friday, March 28 at the Chepauk.
Jitesh mocks Chennai people
In a video which has gone viral prior to the match, the RCB stars were asked about what they feel about the people of Chennai, and while everyone had nice things to say, Jitesh Sharma, the keeper/batter seemingly mocked the people with the South Indian tone.
Dosa, Idli, Sambar, Chutney, a song released in 2022 went viral this year and Jitesh, while talking about Chennai fans mocked them while singing this song in a South Indian accent.
Jitesh faces backlash from CSK fans
After the video went viral, Jitesh Sharma faced backlash from CSK fans as many people hurled abuse to the RCB stars. Many fans believed that he shouldn't have insulted the people in an accent which is not known to him.
RCB eyeing two wins out of two
RCB thrashed KKR in their opening match of the season. In a one-sided contest, the Rajat Patidar led side chased down the target with utmost ease as they made a mockery of the KKR attack and made a huge statement with the win.
Now, they will face CSK in a stern test as Chepauk has not been a happy hunting ground for the RCB side.
