The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 started on an interesting note with the fans witnessing high-scoring matches and some thrillers as well. All the ten teams have played a game each and while some big names showed their class, the other stars flopped badly.
However, apart from the big names, there were many exciting young prospects, who shown brightly and lived up to the IPL tag - "where talent meets opportunity." With all the teams having played a game each, we look at 3 debutants who lit the stage on fire with their performance.
1) Priyansh Arya
The Delhi star was roped in by the Punjab Kings in their squad for the 2025 season and he instantly made an impact with a stellar knock against Gujarat Titans on Tuesday.
Opening the batting, the southpaw was at his aggressive best and demolished the GT bowling attack.

On a pitch where dew was expected to come, Punjab needed a big score and Priyansh provided just that as he laid a strong foundation for Shreyas Iyer and others to capitalise on, which they eventually did.
2) Vipraj Nigam
The Delhi Capitals needed a tricky 210 runs to win their opening contest, but at one stage, they had lost all the hopes with most of the big stars back in the dugout. When the match was heading towards the LSG camp, Vipraj Nigam joined hands with Ashutosh Sharma and while Ashutosh struggled initially, Nigam unleashed beast mode.
