Indian cricketers are often seen unwinding away from the field, but Abhishek Sharma’s latest off-field appearance came in an unexpected setting. Quite recently, the blistering opening batter was spotted at an AP Dhillon concert in Jaipur, with the two Punjab lads sharing the stage in an unexpected crossover.

Abhishek Sharma recently starred in Team India’s comprehensive T20I series win over South Africa. The attacking left-hander is currently leading the Punjab cricket team in the ongoing 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy season.

Abhishek Sharma trades crease for a stage with AP Dhillon

On Sunday, December 29; Indian singer-rapper AP Dhillon performed a concert for his fans in Jaipur. Remarkably, the Punjabi singer was also joined by India’s T20I opening batter Abhishek Sharma at the event, with the latter even making a brief on-stage appearance during the performance.

Much to everyone’s delight, Sharma shared a warm hug with Dhillon and exchanged a few words with the crowd, drawing loud cheers from the packed venue.

Notably, Abhishek Sharma attended the AP Dhillon concert in Jaipur considering the blistering Indian opener was in the city as part of the Punjab cricket team in the ongoing 2025-26 Vijay Hazare Trophy season.

A day later on Monday, December 30; Abhishek led the Punjab team in their Elite Group C match of the tournament against Uttarakhand at the Anantam Ground in Jaipur.

Before taking centre-stage at the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Abhishek Sharma provided Team India some flying starts against South Africa in the recently-concluded five-match T20I series, which the hosts went on to claim by a 3-1 margin.

Abhishek Sharma will soon be gracing the Indian colours once again in the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand. The series itself will serve as Team India’s final gig before the all-important 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at home.
