Cheteshwar Pujara's wife, Pooja, recently launched her book ' The Diary of a Cricketer's Wife' with the likes of Rohit Sharma and Anil Kumble in attendance. There were quite a few interesting discussions during the event with cricketers sharing their stories with Pujara's wife and the audience gathered around them.

Rohit Sharma Makes Cheteshwar Pujara Uncomfortable During Wife's Book Launch

One such instance was when Rohit Sharma revealed Cheteshwar Pujara's story from the 2012 tour of West Indies. Rohit first innocently asks Pujara whether there is anything written in the book about the Caribbean tour. The star from Saurashtra immediately gets a bit hesitant and mentions that his wife doesn't know the details about the event.

Rohit - "I'm sure it's not written in the book. Is there anything regarding that India tour of West Indies. What happened?"

Pujara then elaborates on the story and reveals that they went for a Vegetarian dinner at 11 PM in Trinidad and Tobago. The batter then adds that, while he was returning back he was mobbed on the road and cannot tell the details of what happened to him.

"I haven't told. I mean, she is aware but she doesn't know the details. I am a vegetarian. So we were looking for a vegetarian meal at night. It was in TNT (Trinidad and Tobago) where we went out at 11 in the evening. We didn't find the meal but when we were walking back, I was mobbed. I can't tell you in detail about it but that's the story he is referring to."

Rohit then sums it up by saying that Pujara can be stubborn sometimes and adds in Hindi that they already told Pujara not to go out after 9 PM, but he did not listen.

"Moral of the story is that he can be stubborn. We told him. We warned him not to go out in the night. Don't step out after 9 PM. This is the West Indies." (9 baje ke baad raat ko bahar mat nikalna. Yeh West Indies hai).

The conversation shows the deep bond that Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara share. They have played cricket with each other since the junior level, and have been part of many memorable wins together in Indian whites which includes series victories in Australia twice.
