Virat Kohli will go down as one of the finest cricketers in the modern-era and has achieved almost everything in his glorious career. The latest addition to his achievements is winning the IPL trophy for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and it turned out to be quite an emotional moment for the legend.

Shreyas Iyer And Virat Kohli's Special Bond Grabs Limelight After RCB's Title Win

The RCB legend hugged lot of people after the game, but one of the most memorable moments was when he met Shreyas Iyer's father and hugged him. The competition on the field was fierce with both Shreyas and Kohli not willing to put their guard down. However, as soon as the match ended, the friendship and the respect between the two took centrestage.

Also, there were rumours that all is not well between Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli after RCB beat Punjab Kings in the league stage game at Mullanpur. However, there was no truth behind those claims, and the incident between Shreyas' father and Virat Kohli has squashed those reports of tussle further.

Talking about the on-field competition between the two teams, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced each other four times in the season. The Shreyas Iyer-led PBKS won the game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, but RCB came back in style to win the next three games.

The two of those three losses came in Mullanpur, the home venue of Punjab Kings. Interestingly, Shreyas Iyer who had a brilliant season with the bat, scoring over 600 runs could not get going against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and his team paid a heavy price for it in the final.

RCB have won the trophy after long wait in the 18th edition, while Punjab Kings despite topping the league stage would have to wait longer to win the silverware.
