Zimbabwe To Host Sri Lanka After 9-Year Hiatus
Zimbabwe’s cricket calendar is heating up with a packed schedule. Within a few days, they are set to face South Africa in a Test series followed by a tri-series against South Africa, and New Zealand. Adding more excitement to their schedule, they are set to host Sri Lanka on their home soil.
Despite meeting in the ICC events, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are all set to face each other in a bilateral series after 2016 on Zimbabwe soil. Sri Lanka will travel to the cricket playing nation to play two ODIs and three T20I matches, starting from August 29. Harare Sports Club is all set to host all the clashes.
The upcoming series against Sri Lanka will be more crucial for Zimbabwe as they are all set to host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final, eyeing a spot in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

“We are delighted to confirm Sri Lanka's visit to Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a thrilling and competitive series. Matches between our two nations have always produced entertaining cricket and this tour comes at a crucial time for our team as we prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifying campaign,” he said.
