India and Zimbabwe will be taking on each other in the third and final match of the ODI series. India has already taken an unassailable lead in the series having won the first two matches.

While India will look to whitewash the hosts, the visitors will try and defend their pride in the last match. The match is scheduled at the Harare Sports Club, Zimbabwe.

Before the match starts let us try and find a perfect combination for the fantasy eleven of the match.

Captaincy and Vice Captaincy Picks

Shubhman Gill: Gill has scored 115 runs in the series and is in decent touch. The Zimbabwean bowling lineup has not put up much of a challenge for the young Indian opener. Hence, he will be a very good choice as a captain or vice-captain for the match.

Shikhar Dhawan: Dhawan has also been in brilliant form in the series. With 114 runs, he is the second highest run-getter in the series. His form makes him a very important choice as the captain or vice-captain for the match.

Deepak Chahar: After a brilliant show with the new ball in the first match, Chahar was rested for the second encounter. It is expected that he will make a comeback in the final match. If he plays in the match he will be a great choice as a captain or vice-captain, as he is a real threat for the Zimbabwean batting line-up with the new ball in hand.

Risky Picks:

Sikandar Raza: “Sikandar Raza was in great touch in Zimbabwe’s last series against Bangladesh. But he has failed to carry his form into the current series. Yet, keeping his quality in mind, one cannot drop him from one’s fantasy eleven.”

Richard Ngarava: “Richard Ngarava is yet to find his mojo in the series with the ball in hand. But in the first match, he did a great job batting in the lower order for his team. So, he might turn out to be the winning pick for the match as might contribute with both the bat and the ball. But as India is the opposition pick him at your own risk.”

Shardul Thakur: “Shardul Thakur played in the second match, where he picked up 3 wickets. He is often seen as the partnership-breaking bowler but often ends up conceding a few runs. Therefore, he might turn out to be a high-risk pick given his propensity to concede runs. But he can also turn out to be a high-rewarding pick as he has the uncanny ability to pick up crucial wickets.”
