In their final league fixture of the IPL 2025 season, RR beat CSK by 6 wickets. Following the game, Yashasvi Jaiswal had a special chat with legend MS Dhoni and appeared mesmerised by the latter’s aura.

Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings clashed in a dead rubber game of the IPL 2025 edition as both teams are out of the playoff race.Nevertheless, the two great franchises showed character to exit with their heads held up high.

RR chased down the target of 188 to defeat CSK by 6 wickets. But post-match, Yashasvi Jaiswal and MS Dhoni were seen putting up a heartwarming display of friendship.

Once the post-match rituals were over, cameras captured RR young gun Yashasvi Jaiswal approaching MS Dhoni with a combination of excitement and abiding respect.

Both exchanged a handshake and a few quiet words, but the expression on Jaiswal's face said it all, total respect and awe.

Not only Jaiswal, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi also touched Dhoni’s feet after the game to show his deep respect and admiration for the former legend.

In what might be Dhoni’s final IPL season, such moments between young Indian stars and the cricketing legend are becoming increasingly emotional and symbolic.

After CSK's defeat against Rajasthan Royals, MS Dhoni openly accepted that losing 1-2 additional wickets at crucial points lost them the match. Whilst commending Dewald Brevis' aggressive innings, Dhoni was adamant about the importance of consistency rather than focusing on high strike rates, particularly among younger batters. 

With just one match remaining, Dhoni's comments reflect a move towards developing younger talent as CSK seeks to rebuild after a dismal IPL 2025 campaign. Chennai's next and final outing is against the Gujarat Titans May 25.
