Women’s WC Schedule Out, India To Face PAK On October 5
The Indian Women’s team will face Pakistan on October 5 in match number six of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The ICC unveiled the entire schedule of the tournament on June 16. India will start off their campaign with a match against co-hosts Sri Lanka on September 30 in Bengaluru.
Set to be played between September 30 and November 2, as many as eight teams will participate in the tournament, including defending champions Australia.
India To Play 2025 Asia Cup Despite Conflict – Reports
Team India is set to participate in the 2025 T20 Asia Cup, regardless of the country’s current political turmoil with age-old rivals Pakistan. However, as reported by Forbes, the multi-nation tournament will now be hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), owing to Pakistan’s refusal of travelling to India.
The T20 Asia Cup 2025 is slated to be played sometime in September later this year, and the eight-team event will serve as a prelude for nearly all sides for the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
Jofra Archer Registers For BBL 2025-26 Draft
England fast bowler Jofra Archer has registered his name for this year’s 2025-26 Big Bash League (BBL) season in Australia. As reported by the BBC, the speedster has confirmed his full availability for the tournament. Archer is among 40 Englishmen to have registered for the draft. He last played a BBL game back during the 2018-19 season for the Hobart Hurricanes team, picking up 18 wickets that year in 15 innings at an average of 23.50.
LSG Alumni Digvesh Rathi Picks Up Five In Five Balls
LSG spinner Digvesh Rathi picked up five wickets in the space of just five balls during a local T20 match. The cricket claimed a total of seven wickets in the innings at an expense of just 28 runs in his 3.5 overs. Rathi also had a memorable IPL 2025 season for the LSG franchise. Making his tournament debut in the season, the wily leg-spinner picked up 14 wickets in 13 innings at an average of 30.64 and with a strike rate of 22.22.
Nepal Seek ICC Full Membership To Play Test Cricket
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), on the heels of Nepal’s recent rise in international cricket, has expressed its desire of seeking full ICC membership in a bid to play Test matches. CAN secretary Paras Khadka said that playing Test cricket is a dream for many Nepal fans, and added that the cricket board and the national team is aiming to climb all the hurdles to reach this “Everest”.
