India’s ace off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin recently talked about India’s upcoming third Test match against England of the five match Test series of England tour of India. India will be stepping in Rajkot with boosted confidence after winning the second Test match of the series in Visakhapatnam in yet another thrilling encounter.

The BCCI recently released India’s squad for the remaining three Test matches wherein the veteran middle order batter Cheteshwar Pujara has been ignored again. However, since the 3rd Test will be conducted in Rajkot, Ravichandran Ashwin discussed if Pujara will invite the Indian squad for dinner at his place since the game happens to be in his home city. 


Ravichandran Ashwin hails Cheteshwar Pujara for playing hundred Test matches 

Ahead of the third Test match, Ravichandran Ashwin talked about the game on his YouTube channel and said,

 "The Indian players have gone back home and will be reuniting for the next Test match in Rajkot. Rajkot is the home of Cheteshwar Pujara. A certified Indian legend who recently concluded his 100 Test matches. We'll be playing in his place. Ravindra Jadeja, Saurashtra. The Rajkot stadium is his home ground, but he is from Jamnagar. Let's wait and watch if Cheteshwar Pujara invites everyone to his home for dinner.”

Previously in England tour of India 2016, Cheteshwar Pujara invited the entire Indian squad at his place for dinner. The event took place after the first Test match of the series which was also conducted in Rajkot and ended in a draw.

Currently India and England have played two matches of the series and both have won one match each. Both the squads have been struck by injuries of key players and it will be interesting to watch the replaced players’ performances.
