After wrapping up the IPL 2025 campaign with Mumbai Indians(MI), Rohit Sharma will now be poised to shift his focus back to international cricket. The star batter showcased decent form in the recently concluded IPL 2025. Talking about MI, the Hardik-Pandya-led franchise reached the playoffs before being knocked out by PBKS in Qualifier 2.

Rohit Sharma will likely play next for India in the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. This marks his first assignment for India since stepping away from Test cricket in May 2025. The series is scheduled to begin on August 17. 

Here’s the full schedule for India’s ODI tour of Bangladesh:

  • 1st ODI – August 17, 2025 
  • 2nd ODI – August 20, 2025 
  • 3rd ODI – August 23, 2025

After the Bangladesh series, Rohit will likely next play for India in their ODI series against Australia in October and then against South Africa in December. The MI star is expected to lead the Indian batting unit, as India kick-starts a crucial phase in their preparation for the 2027 ODI World Cup in South Africa.
