After the heartbreak suffered in the Champions Trophy 2025, Pakistan will embark on a new journey with a new looked team as they take on New Zealand in a riveting 5-match T20I series. The first match of the series will commence on Sunday, March 16 as Pakistan will start as the underdogs against a depleted New Zealand side.

All the star players from New Zealand, including Glenn Phillips, Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra have flown to India for the Indian Premier League and Michael Bracewell will lead the side as the Kiwis look to continue their domination against the Pakistan side.

For the Indian fans, the 1st T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand will commence at 6:45 AM, with the toss taking place half an hour earlier at 6:15 AM.

What happened the last time these two teams met in a T20I match?

Last time Pakistan and New Zealand met in a T20I series was back in April 27, 2024 and the game took place in Lahore.

Pakistan batted first and their trio of Babar Azam, Usman Khan and Fakhar Zaman led the charge against the Kiwis. While Babar scored a brilliant fifty, Usman scored a quick-fire 31 and Fakhar blasted 43 off 33 as Pakistan slammed 178/5.

In reply, Tim Seifert gave a fiery start with a brilliant fifty, but wickets fell from the other end as the required rate climbed up. Josh Clarkson tried his best in the end, but the target was too big to overhaul as Pakistan won by 9 runs.
