In a significant development, Virat Kohli, speaking at an event, has confirmed that he is contemplating about reversing his retirement from T20Is for one match. Kohli, who took his T20I retirement after winning T20 World Cup 2024, is eying to feature in Olympics 2028.
It is worth noting that cricket will be included in the Olympics 2028 after a long hiatus. Further, Virat played a huge role in the return of cricket as his large popularity was the reason behind the inclusion of cricket by the Olympic Committee.
Virat Kohli Looking Forward To Play Olympics 2028
In the latest events, Virat, speaking at an event, remarked that he would love to see India bring the Olympic medal home in 2028 and won't mind playing 2028 Olympics final.
'If India reaches the Olympics final in 2028, might just think of coming out of retirement for that one match. Winning an olympic medal would be magnificent,' Kohli said on the sidelines of Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit, powered by Leaders as reported by NDTV.
Virat Kohli Speaks About His Test Future
While the fans are elated over Virat's remarks on his T20I future, he also provided an update on his Test future that has left the fans hurt. Virat remarked that he might not have another Australia tour, which has sent the internet into a frenzy.
"I might not have another Australia tour in me, so I am at peace with whatever happened in the past: Kohli on his recent struggle in that part of the world," remarked Kohli.
At present, Virat is busy training with RCB for upcoming IPL season and eyes maiden IPL title.
