In the match, New Zealand won the toss and the bowlers failed to put up a significant performance as Afghanistan batters showcased their batting depth, setting a formidable total of 159/6 in their allotted 20 overs. 

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the opening batter of Afghanistan, grabbed the limelight with his magnificent performance and scored 80 runs off 56 balls, featuring an array of boundaries and sixes. 

Chasing the target, New Zealand’s batting lineup collapsed in no time under the relentless pressure imposed by Afghanistan’s bowlers. 

The Afghan bowlers showcased their commendable performance, Fazalhaq Farooqi led the charge with a fiery spell, claiming four wickets for just 17 runs, while Mohammad Nabi provided crucial breakthroughs with two wickets.
