IPL 2024 To Be Held Outside India? Big 'Secrets' Revealed

The IPL has caught the imagination of the cricketing world for more than a decade now and as the IPL 2024 approaches, the excitement around the tournament is again grabbing eyeballs. However, with Lok Sabha elections scheduled to take place around the same time, there are speculations that IPL 2024 might move out of India.

In the past too, during the 2009 elections, IPL took place in South Africa while in 2014, the initial phase of tournament took place in U.A.E. However, during the 2019 elections, the whole IPL was successfully held in India itself, and according to the BCCI source, the 2024 IPL will also not move away from India too, regardless of the dates of general elections.

The BCCI source told ANI that they have no intention of taking IPL 2024 out of the country and added that if any state has problem to host matches during elections because of any justified reason, the matches could be shifted to different venue.

According to the sources, the IPL 2024 is set to start on March 22 and the final might be played between 20-25th May as T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to start on 1st of June.
