After pulling off a comprehensive win over Afghanistan in the second T20I and taking an unassailable series lead over the tourists on Sunday, Team India players spent time on Monday (January 15) attending the 'Bhasma Arti' at the famous Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Ujjain.

The temple situated near Indore in Madhya Pradesh, where the Men in Blue defeated the visiting Afghans, was attended by a young Indian quartet of Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Jitesh Sharma and Tilak Varma, three of whom were part of the Indian playing XI, the night before.

The quartet managed to reach on time for the rituals and took blessings at the temple for a critical phase ahead in their respective careers as all four push to try and bag a spot at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in June in the Caribbean & USA.

All four players were captured at the 'Bhasma Arti' by Asian News International (ANI), which shared the clip over Twitter. The fans appreciated Tilak, Jitesh, Bishnoi and Sundar for expressing their faith and belief at the famous temple.

The four players had no qualms sitting with the humongous crowd that had reached Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain to attend Arti early in the morning. They were seen sitting on the turf, just like the rest of the believers who were present there.

The young quartet hopes to continue succeeding for India through the series against Afghanistan, having contributed to the Rohit Sharma-led side's two consecutive wins. Tilak was the only one missing from the playing XI in Indore, while Bishnoi, Jitesh and Sundar contributed to the six-wicket victory.

India take on Afghanistan in the third and final T20I of the two countries' first-ever bilateral series on Wednesday (January 17) in Bangalore.
