India's young cricket team has showcased impressive performance, winning the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe 4-1, despite an initial setback. This victory in Harare has been a testament to their talent and dedication.

Continuing a tradition that began during the ODI World Cup 2023, Team India has been awarding a fielding medal to the standout fielder in each match.

This tradition was upheld in the T20 World Cup 2024 and further celebrated in the Zimbabwe series.

The joyous occasion was captured in a viral video shared by the BCCI on social media, covering the entire scene.

The current fielding coach, Subhadeep Ghosh, shared this special video featuring Dilip. In the video, Dilip emphasized the significance of fielding excellence and the tradition of awarding the fielding medal.

Ghosh then announced that he would present the medal and praised the team's exceptional fielding efforts, focusing on the importance of catching. He revealed that the fielder of the series was none other than Rinku Singh.

The moment Ghosh announced Rinku Singh's name, the entire team erupted in joy and celebration. VVS Laxman, the head coach, presented the medal to Rinku.

In the viral video, after receiving the medal from Laxman, Rinku stepped up to a chair to deliver a much-anticipated speech, with the team enthusiastically chanting his name.

Rinku expressed his gratitude, mentioning that it was all part of God's plan, and shared his love for fielding over batting. He joyfully stated how much he enjoys running on the field.

The team celebrated the moment with smiles, hugs, and cheers all around. This victory and the celebratory atmosphere have boosted the team's confidence as they prepare for their next challenge- a six-match away series against Sri Lanka starting on July 27, featuring three T20Is and three ODIs.
