Hardik Pandya has found his mojo in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. The star Indian all-rounder displayed his prowess throughout the tournament and was one of the key players for the Rohit Sharma led Indian side.

Hardik had a disastrous IPL 2024 campaign, both as a player and as a leader for Mumbai Indians. However, he resurrected himself in the World Cup and delivered the goods when it mattered the most.

BCCI Contemplating Bringing In Hardik Pandya For Tests in AUS

Team India are set to tour Australia for a 5-match Test series in November, and while the team has most of the basis covered, it still lacks the cutting-edge in one particular area - the pace bowling all-rounders's department.

While the side do have the likes of Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel as the all-rounders, a lack of pace bowling all-rounder has hurt the team in overseas situations. However, as per a BCCI insider, who told OneCricket, the team management is considering bringing in Hardik for the Test series.

The 30-year-old last played a Test match for India in 2018, and he skipped the game's longest format due to recurring injury issues, and moreover, he wanted to prolong his white-ball career.

However, the Indian team are planning carefully to integrate Hardik in the red-ball setup as well. As per the insider, since the Tests matches are taking place in Perth and Brisbane, which generally favours the fast bowlers, India are taking no chance and want to have the best possible combination before jetting off to Australia.

The Indian team still have around 4 months to get Hardik ready for the tough challenge that awaits them in Australia.
