The Indian team is expected to have their first practice session in Ahmedabad tomorrow, while Pakistan, who arrived on Wednesday, are already having their maiden training session at Narendra Modi Stadium currently.

Benched Indian opener Shubman Gill reached Ahmedabad late last night from Chennai, having missed India's games against Australia and Afghanistan, respectively owning to dengue.

As per reports, Gill under guidance of BCCI's medical panel will have a light training session sometime today. Both India and Pakistan have clashed seven times in World Cups since 1992, with Men in Blue coming out on the victorious side each time.

The high-profile tie will be also attended by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf, apart from other luminaries like India's Home Minister Amit Shah, Former India legend Sachin Tendulkar, and actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rajnikanth.

India are placed second on the points table, while Pakistan occupy the third position.
