In the eagerly anticipated World Cup 2023 clash between Australia and South Africa at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium, Australia has won the crucial toss and elected to bowl. This historic moment marks the first-ever World Cup match hosted by Lucknow, a city steeped in cricketing fervor. The atmosphere is electric, as fans in the stands eagerly await the first ball of this high-stakes encounter.

The Aussie skipper, Pat Cummins after winning the toss expressed that the team was satisfied with the way they had bowled and further elaborated:

"We are going to bowl first. Not too sure what to make of this wicket. So we will have a crack with the ball. Two changes. Marcus Stoinis is back from injury. He replaces Cameron Green. Also, Josh Inglis comes in place of Alex Carey. We are happy with how we bowled. We have to put pressure back on the bowlers while batting. That's it. They are a team that we know fairly well and we are looking forward to today's clash."

On the other hand, Temba Bavuma expressed that he was a little unsure when it came to choose whether to bat or bowl first however, he is confident about that they'd have to do it very well. He further added:

"To be honest, I was not too sure. Whatever we do first, we have to do it very well. One change for us. Tabraiz Shamsi comes in for Gerald Coetzee. Bit of both, like adapting to conditions as well as opposition, are key. Shamsi had a very good success against them (Australia) in the recent past, and we would like to unleash them. See, there could be some spin and bounce. We always speak of adapting and assessing conditions, and today is no different. Quinny and myself need to have a look at the first few overs and should see what's the good total on this surface."
