Before the Asia Cup 2023 commencement, cricket enthusiasts eagerly anticipated the marquee clash between India and Pakistan, which was scheduled for September 2 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

However, the excitement was dampened by persistent rain, resulting in the match being abandoned after India's first innings, leaving Pakistan without a chance to begin their run-chase. Eventually, one point was given to each team.

Pakistan started off their campaign in the continental tournament with a thumping 238-run victory over Nepal, securing their ticket to the Super Fours stage. Meanwhile, India also registered a resounding win, defeating Nepal by ten wickets in their latest match to secure a spot in the Super Fours stage.

The stage is now set for another highly-anticipated clash as India and Pakistan prepare to face each other again, this time in the Super Fours stage, at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on September 10.

Meanwhile, the Star Sports Network, the exclusive broadcaster of the Asia Cup 2023, has just released a new promotional video for the highly-anticipated India-Pakistan match.
