In the Asia Cup 2023 clash, India faced Nepal in a rain-interrupted match on Monday (September 04), with India emerging victorious by 10 wickets. Virat Kohli didn't get to bat as Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma sealed the win themselves.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, a cricket icon, continues to inspire players worldwide, including Nepal's Sompal Kami, who got Kohli's autograph on his shoes after the game. The Nepal all-rounder shared some pictures on social media, standing beside Virat Kohli as he signed shoes for him.

After an extended absence from international cricket following the West Indies series, Virat Kohli returned to the Indian side but could not make a mark in their tournament opener against Pakistan, being dismissed by Shaheen Afridi for just four runs. 

With fans looking forward to Kohli's brilliance in the second match against Nepal, his batting prowess remained untested, as Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma joined forces for an unbeaten 147-run opening partnership, comfortably achieving the DLS adjusted target in just 20.1 overs. 

India's win against Nepal has secured their spot in the Super Four stage, and they are gearing up to face Pakistan on September 10 in Colombo. The spotlight will undoubtedly be on Virat Kohli once again, who seeks redemption following his underwhelming recent performance against them.
