In a shocking turn of events, a reputed leading Sports channel, SportsTak, has come under fire for their shameful and demeaning remarks on Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma. In the video, doing rounds online, the entire show panel is seen laughing off on a remark made over a panelist's body and comparing him with Rohit by calling him 'fat'.
The reputed journalist is heard saying:
"Yeh Rohit Sharma bann jayega, thoda sa paet nikla hua hai iska." (He can become Rohit Sharma, he has a big stomach).

Rohit Sharma's exceptional cricketing skills and leadership have propelled India to numerous victories, making him one of the country's most celebrated sportsmen. However, body shaming him based on his physical appearance is not only unjust but also detracts from his achievements and contributions to the sport.
Body shaming is disrespectful because it reduces a person's worth to their physical attributes, ignoring their talent, dedication, and hard work. Such comments perpetuate harmful stereotypes, promote unhealthy body image standards, and contribute to a culture of discrimination and low self-esteem.
In the context of Rohit Sharma, he deserves recognition and admiration for his cricketing prowess, not ridicule for his body shape. It is crucial to appreciate athletes for their abilities, sportsmanship, and dedication, rather than resorting to derogatory comments that undermine their achievements and perpetuate harmful stereotypes.
