This win moves Bangladesh to seventh position on the points table, while Sri Lanka drops down to eighth place. Although their qualification chances for the semis are almost nil, this result holds major implications as a Champions Trophy spot is on the line.

That's a drop. Litton pulls the ball straight to the fine leg fielder but he just could not hold onto it. This results in a four and Litton seems to have injured himself. It's all happening out there.

Madushanka's dream run in the powerplay continues. Tanzid got into the shot early. The ball was moving away from him and he just drove it high in the air for a catch at cover point.

Tanzid nonchalantly leans into the drive and hits the ball over point for a boundary. That was just a starter. He plays an ever better shot in the following delivery. The southpaw uses his feet well and sends the ball for another boundary at mid-on. Great start for Bangladesh.

That’s the end of the first innings. Sri Lanka, after being asked to bat first, have posted 279 on the board. It was a roller-coaster of an innings as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals but Charith Asalanka stood tall against Bangladesh’s bowlers and took his side to a competitive total.

Nissanka's positive batting (so far) steal the show

At present, Sri Lanka are 52/1 in 10 overs and are looking okay with the long middle phase coming our way. Kusal Mendis may have struggled from one end but Pathum Nissanka's 32-ball 39 has brought momentum's way. So far in the play, Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib have been brilliant in testing the batters. Let's see how the spinner take it forward from here.

With Kusal Perera's wicket, the Bangladesh bowlers have made sure to keep a lid on the runs as well. On a flat that has been assisting batting in this tournament, SL are still to find a way to get the momemtum in their batting innings. After six overs, SL are at 29 for the loss of one wicket.

Shakib Al Hasan wins the toss and Bangladesh will field first. Two changes for SL - Dhananjaya de Silva and Kusal Janith Perera are playing for Dimuth Karunaratne and Dushan Hemantha. Meanwhile, Tanzim Hasan Sakib comes in place of Mustafizur Rahman.

First things first. The players have already started warming up for this game. The match officials will be keeping a close eye on the air quality index (AQI) which has been very poor in Delhi. Match referee Richie Richardson will make a final call before the toss whether the game will take place or not. For now, it is looking good and even the sun is out.

"The BCCI engaged the services of renowned Pulmonologist Dr Randeep Guleria to assess the situation in Delhi ahead of Monday's game and provide independent expert advice. Under Dr Guleria's guidance, the venue team has been taking mitigating actions throughout the day including the implementation of water sprinklers around the premises and the installation of air purifiers in the dressing rooms and match officials areas. The AQI within the stadium was monitored throughout the day which has reduced to levels considered acceptable by Dr Guleria."

"The ICC will continue to work in collaboration with Dr Guleria, BCCI, DDCA, and the Delhi Government to monitor the air quality and to take all possible steps to mitigate the air quality concerns at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and the match remains scheduled to take place in Delhi on Monday."

Will BAN vs SL played on Monday?

Due to the hazardous Delhi pollution rate, the ICC has notified that the match officials will take a call before the start of play whether it will be headed today or not. Thus far, the game is on the cards but an official statement is still awaiting.
