Indian cricket's rising star, Dhruv Jurel, recently landed in Jaipur to join the Rajasthan Royals camp ahead of IPL 2024, and the team staff welcomed him with salutes, thus showcasing an appreciation for his recent heroics in the India-England Test series. 

Dhruv Jurel, India's young and dynamic wicketkeeper batter, debuted in the India-England five-game Test series held recently and left an everlasting impact with an inspiring half-century in the crisis. 

Jurel was equally impressive behind the wickets and drew similarities with the legend MS Dhoni.

That said, after a successful series, Dhruv Jurel joined the Rajasthan Royals camp ahead of the IPL 2024 carnival, which is just a week away.

Meanwhile, the RR staff decided to pay tribute to Jurel for his recent heroics in the whites and lined up to greet the wicketkeeper with salutes. Jurel was moved by the heartwarming gesture and offered a salute in return as he made his way to his hotel room.

That being said, the salute gesture first got associated with Dhruv Jurel during the recent Test series against England when the batter did a salute celebration after hitting his maiden Test fifty.

Explaining the thought behind the gesture, Jurel revealed that his father is a Kargil War veteran, and he dedicated that salute to him to express gratitude for his unwavering support and to thank the Indian army personnel in general for their selfless services.

Undoubtedly, the heartwarming reception organized by the RR staff is a testament to Dhruv Jurel's growing stature in world cricket.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) will kick start their IPL campaign against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on March 24.
