After being stuck in Barbados for more than four days after winning the historic T20 World Cup title, the Men in Blue are all geared up to return to India.

India beat South Africa on June 29 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados and had to wait for four days to leave the Caribbean Islands because of Cyclone Beryl.

In the latest events, sportswriter Nikhil Naz posted a video of the Indian players boarding a charted Air India plane at the Barbados airport. "It’s coming home!," wrote Naz on Twitter.

There are reports that India will land in New Delhi at around 6 am on Thursday. They will then meet Narendra Modi and head out to Mumbai to take part in an open bus parade on July 5 for celebrations similar to the one held in 2007 after their maiden T20 World Cup triumph.

It has been an emotional tournament for several players as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja announced retirement following the win. This tournament also marked the last assignment for Rahul Dravid as India's head coach.

While the players are gearing up to return to India, Khaleel Ahmed and Rinku Singh have left for Zimbabwe to play the five-match T20I series starting on July 6.
