Riyan Parag, whose name was discussed among the probables for the T20 World Cup, had a fine Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 campaign. In a recent interview after the conclusion of IPL 2024, Parag candidly spoke about the ugly fight between India A and Bangladesh A during the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023.  


Riyan Parag Opens Up On Ind A Vs Ban A spat

In a recent video, going viral on the Internet, Riyan Parag opened up about the massive fight that went viral during the match between India and Bangladesh in 2023 in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup.  

The U19 teams of India and Bangladesh were involved in an ugly fight after the 2020 World Cup final. A fresh chapter to the fierce rivalry was added during the semi-final of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup last year. 

Talking about the incident in the TRS podcast, Parag stated that the Bangladesh A team initiated the fight and made certain derogatory comments that led to clash between the players from both sides.

In the same clip, the star Rajasthan Royals batter also stated that he is not interested in watching the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024

The dynamic player had a commendable season with the bat in the recently concluded IPL 2024 for Rajasthan Royals. In his 14 innings, the cricketer tallied 573 runs at an astonishing average of 52.09. 

The 22-year-old also composed his runs at a staggering strike rate of nearly 150 and bashed four scores of fifty or above in the tournament.

The young talented cricketer finished as the third-highest run-getter of the IPL season finding himself only behind ‘Orange Cap’ winner Virat Kohli and CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad.
