Mohammed Rizwan, Pakistan's white-ball captain is facing lot of criticism after his team got knocked out of Champions Trophy 2025 in the group stage. It was an important tournament for Pakistan as they were playing at home, but they lost their initial two games against New Zealand and India and that naturally has not gone well with their fans and other stakeholders.
Pakistan's National Captain Trolled Infront Of Amir, Shehzad
There has been a lot of brutal trolling on social media and now another one has popped up where Tabish Hashmi, a famous TV personality in Pakistan has mocked Mohammad Rizwan. He not only criticised Pakistan's poor performance on the field but also made fun of Rizwan's poor English in post-match conferences.
There were former cricketers like Ahmed Shehzad, Rashid Latif and Mohammad Amir in front of him, and though two of them controlled their laughter, Shehzad laughed out loudly. The episode is not going well with many Pakistan fans who are considering it as an insult of their national captain and have asked people to keep their criticism to on-field performances.
Interestingly, Pakistan players have also been previously mocked for their poor English, but the bigger issue is their performance in the last few ICC tournaments. They were knocked out in the group stage of 2023 World Cup and 2024 T20 World Cup, and with Champions Trophy also not going their way, there could be some wholesale changes in their squad for the New Zealand series.
