During the Sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, the Ambani family honoured three Mumbai Indians players - Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya- who contributed to India's T20 World Cup triumph.

Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain who led the team to victory, Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya, and world's number one T20 batter Suryakumar Yadav were present, though Jasprit Bumrah was notably absent.

The grand wedding of Anant Ambani and his long-time girlfriend Radhika Merchant is set for July 12th in Mumbai. 

As the day nears, several celebrities attended the Sangeet ceremony at the Jio World Convention Center, where the T20 World Cup heroes were celebrated.

Mukesh Ambani expressed his gratitude to the Indian team and captain Rohit Sharma for securing the 2024 T20 World Cup. 

He also referenced Dhoni's leadership during the 2011 World Cup win. Dhoni himself was a guest at the Sangeet event.

Nita Ambani, co-owner of the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, led a chant of 'India India,' with the crowd passionately joining in. 

There were rumours of discord within the Mumbai Indians camp after Hardik Pandya replaced Rohit Sharma as captain. 

However, the strong bond between the MI and Indian national team captains was evident during the T20 World Cup, where India emerged as champions.
