MS Dhoni's passionate fans can rest a little less anxious with the legend returning to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in fine form as evident during a practice session at the iconic Chepauk ground ahead of the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), starting March 22.

The great CSK skipper, who recently rejoined the franchise at his den for a pre-season preparatory camp, was seen smashing the ball out of the park during a training stint ahead of his team's opening day bout with the popular Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

In a clip going viral, Dhoni is seen acing the match simulation practice drills, belting the ball out of the ground for sixes at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Even at the fag end of his illustrious career, the legend hasn't lost his touch and renowned six-hitting streak, and this was a shining example of it.

MS Dhoni Smacks It Out Of The Park In Practice

Dhoni hit three maximums during the little clip shot by CSK's passionate fans from the ground during a practice session organised by the defending champions. Hitting the first of those towards the square leg region, Dhoni cleverly went over the deep-third area for the next one.

But the best of the lot arrived afterwards when he smacked one of the Super Kings pacers for a six over the wide long-off and stood tall on the stroke after finding optimum connection off his willow. The great player looked majestic hitting that one and would've admired the shot himself.

Dhoni being in strong form in practice would be an encouraging sign for a CSK franchise eyeing another title under their belt after securing their fifth trophy in the league's history last season following a thrilling win over Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final in Ahmedabad.
