A Pakistani cricket fan went on a verbal rage after the ‘Men in Green’ batting line-up bottled an easy run-chase against arch-rivals India at the 2024 T20 World Cup. 

The fan in contention can be spotted throwing a fit of rage in front of his child after the penultimate ball of the match went for a boundary.

The defeat marked Pakistan’s second in succession in the tournament, after Babar Azam and co. were left shellshocked by USA on June 6.

Facing Team India in a must-win match at New York’s Nassau County Stadium on June 9, the Pakistan cricket team failed to chase down their 119-run target. 

Despite comfortably reaching 73-2 in 12 overs, the ‘Men in Green’ batters could not keep up with the required rate of six-runs per over, and ended up losing their plot in front of Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj and ‘Player of the Match’ Jasprit Bumrah.

At a time when Pakistan’s mathematical chances died out after the penultimate ball was bowled, a certain ‘Men in Green’ fan went on a verbal rampage while enjoying the live proceedings within the confinement of his home. 

The fan in contention, in front of his child, even yelled highly disparaging statements.

After coping twin demoralizing defeats upfront, the Pakistan team bounced back against Canada on June 11 with an emphatic seven-wicket win.

Under the leadership of Babar Azam, they will now be required to beat Ireland with a huge margin in their final Group game of the tournament. The much-awaited contest will be staged at Lauderhill on June 16.
