During a recent jovial interview with his Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) comrades, Dinesh Karthik showed his humorous side with clever remarks and amusing one-liners, delighting fans. Yet, it was a specific inquiry directed by Karthik to Virat Kohli that captured everyone's attention.

Taking on the role of the interviewer, Karthik asked Kohli,"Who is my favorite sportsperson other than a cricketer?" Without missing a beat, Kohli cheekily responded, "Your wife." Karthik, amused by the unexpected answer, replied, "That's a great answer for sure."

The exchange elicited laughter from Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Mohammed Siraj, and Rajat Patidar, who were present during the interview. Karthik then admitted, "I had a different answer in mind."

Remarkably, the veteran wicketkeeper-batter has emerged as one of the most consistent performers for RCB, amassing 226 runs in 7 matches this season at a phenomenal strike rate of 205.45 and an impressive average of 75.33.

As the T20 World Cup approaches, Karthik's stellar performances have sparked discussions about the 38-year-old batter's possible inclusion in India's squad for the global tournament.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma has echoed these sentiments, saying that covincing Karthik to represent India in the T20 World Cup would be a straightforward task.
