Rohit Sharma is known for his hilarious comments on and off the field, and never backs down from speaking his heart out. The same humour was again on display in the 25th match of IPL 2024 between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. 

The former MI skipper and current Indian skipper was seen making a sarcastic remark on T20 World Cup selection when Dinesh Karthik was batting at Wankhede.

Rohit Sharma came close to Dinesh Karthik standing right alongside Ishan Kishan and motivated Karthik in a sarcastic way by saying that World Cup is coming close and he should perform.

The RCB wicketkeeper probably took the advice seriously and showed all his might as he blasted 53 off just 23 balls, taking RCB to a formidable total of 196 on a flat batting deck at Wankhede.

Earlier, Faf du Plessis also scored 61 and Patidar too roared back in form with a fantastic fifty. For MI, the star of the show was Jasprit Bumrah. The right-arm pacer was at his very best and picked up a five-wicket haul as rest of the MI bowlers failed to execute their plans to the liking of their skipper.
