The Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) lost the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 25 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 15, 2024, in the Indian Premier League (IPL). 

Dinesh Karthik grabbed the limelight after his sensational knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad he smashed 83 runs in 35 balls with 7 sixes and 4 fours. 

Dinesh Karthik, 38 years old, has been in some extraordinary form in the Indian Premier League 2024, the wicket-keeper batter has scored 226 runs in 7 innings with an explosive strike rate of 205.45. 

RCB Head Coach Andy Flower Had Words Of Motivation For Dinesh 

RCB head coach, Andy Flower, backed and supported Dinesh Karthik and he believes that he has a good chance of making it to India's T20 World Cup squad which will be announced by the end of April. 

Recently after his explosive knock against SRH, former CSK player,Ambati Rayudu also believed that DK is the right choice for the role of the finisher and should be included in the T20 World Cup Squad.

"Dinesh Karthik is really making a push for the World Cup team as well and is only getting better on the field"Andy Flower Said.

Andy Flower, former Zimbabwean cricketer and head coach of Royal Challenger Bengaluru, opined that the team has taken a lot of confidence from the game against SRH despite losing the fixture, he believes that batting has been top-class and from now on to qualify for the playoffs every game must be taken as a knockout match for the IPL 2024. 

"I am really proud of the way we fought with the bat out there in the middle. We lost the game but I was really proud of the way we fought. We will have a think and we will come back stronger, It is obviously knockout time and every game is like a semi-final for us," he remarked."

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play its next fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 21, 2024, at the Eden Gardens.
