Indian captain Rohit Sharma was spotted making his way inside the Mumbai Airport, mere days prior to the commencement of his team’s third Test match against the visiting English team. The cricketer recently led Team India to an emphatic 106-run victory over Ben Stokes and co. at Vizag, and the outcome eventually brought their five-match series to levelling terms.

Shortly after the conclusion of the Vizag Test, Sharma reunited with his wife Ritika Sajdeh in Mumbai to spend his time away from the field.

Rohit Sharma spotted at Mumbai airport

Rohit Sharma, sporting a casual black outfit, was spotted making his way to the Mumbai airport on February 11.  While entering, the seasoned Indian veteran seemed quite keen in finding out updates of India's concurrent Under-19 World Cup 2024 final clash against Australia.

Sharma was caught on camera conversing with a paparazzi, after the latter had said that Australian team has lost six of its wickets to the 'Boys in Blue'.

The cricketer is slated to lead the Indian team in four days’ time in Rajkot for the third Test of their five-match series against England.

As per the cricketer’s schedule, one can safely assume that Sharma was flying to join his teammates in time for the all-important contest.

Under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, Team India lost their series opener by 28 runs despite having gained a 190-run advantage at the halfway stage of the game. The hosts fought back in Vizag by trouncing the visitors with a 106-run margin to level the series 1-1.

His uneven leadership record aside, Sharma’s own batting form remains an area of concern for the Indian team, considering he has tallied just 90 runs across all four innings so far against England. Moreover, the Indian opener also failed to make any impact against South Africa in India’s away series earlier this year.

He will now lead the Indian team in the third Test, set to be hosted by Rajkot’s Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium. The much-awaited contest will be staged between February 15 and February 19.
