Mumbai captain Jemimah Rodrigues tonked a 62-ball century against Andhra in a pre-quarter-final match of the ongoing Senior Women’s T20 Trophy (SWT20) 2023. Opening the batting for her side, the cricketer remained unbeaten at the crease throughout 20 overs to finish at 112 from just 66 balls.

Rodrigues listed 19 boundaries in her entertaining knock, which took Mumbai to a highly competitive 188-2 from their 20 overs upfront.

Jemimah Rodrigues takes Andhra to the cleaners

Turning up for her side in a must-win SWT20 2023 game, Mumbai opener and captain Jemimah Rodrigues top-scored with an unbeaten 66-ball 112 against Andhra at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

After forming a 49-run stand with opening partner Simran Shaikh, Rodrigues added 58 runs with Humairaa Kaazi and another 81 runs with wicketkeeper Riya Chaudhari, where the latter contributed with just 15* from her end.

The innings drove Mumbai to an emphatic win against Andhra, as they book a place in the quarter-finals for November 5.

Jemimah Rodrigues recently starred for senior India Women’s team during the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. The cricketer belted 42 crucial runs in the Gold Medal standoff against Sri Lanka, an innings which also turned out to be a match-winning one.

Rodrigues made her international debut in 2018 for Team India, and has represented her nation in 24 ODIs and 86 T20I matches to date.
