Jasprit Bumrah has re-joined the Indian squad ahead of their fifth and final Test match of the series against England. The seasoned fast bowler was given a rest from India’s playing XI at Ranchi, thus allowing debutant Akash Deep to step in as his replacement instead.
Amidst rising speculations of his comeback into the team, Bumrah was spotted alongside Kuldeep Yadav in Dharamshala on March 5, i.e., just a couple of days prior to the launch of the high-profile Test match.
Jasprit Bumrah returns for Dharamshala Test
As part of his workload management, Jasprit Bumrah was given a much-needed rest from India’s playing XI for last week’s Rajkot Test by the Indian selectors.
It seems like the cricketer will be making his comeback to the team for the final Test of the series, considering he was recently spotted alongside spinner Kuldeep Yadav and member of the support staff in Dharamshala on March 5.

Last month, Jasprit Bumrah seized nine English wickets at Vizag to headline India’s 106-run series-levelling win. The senior speedster also struck twice at Rajkot to jolt England’s famed batting line-up, thus setting up India’s staggering 434-run win to go 2-1 up in the series.
With Bumrah joining the Indian team in Dharamshala for a training session, one can expect him to feature in India’s playing XI for the much-awaited contest.
The match will be staged at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala between March 7 and March 11, and it marks India’s final international fixture prior to the launch of this month’s IPL 2024 season.
Jasprit Bumrah himself will be reprising his role for the Mumbai Indians franchise in the 10-team tournament.
