Ranchi witnessed Dhruv Jurel, the up-and-coming Indian wicket-keeper batter, deliver a breathtaking 90 in his second Test, saving the day for India and denying England any significant lead.

While Jurel's stellar innings in Ranchi earned him praise from fans far and wide, one cricketer currently not in the team made sure to commend the wicketkeeper-batter. Bumrah took to social media to recognise Jurel's exceptional effort.

When Jurel took to the pitch, India was in dire straits, lagging far behind England at 177 for 7. But then began an amazing and steady partnership between Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav, pulling India out of the woods and into safety. 

Jurel notched up his fifty in 96 deliveries, but when Kuldeep Yadav fell, he shifted gears and unleashed a counterattack that kept England on edge. 

However, a sensational delivery by Tom Hartley brought an end to Jurel's brave effort, eliciting applause from all sides. Jurel's gutsy 90 runs off 149 balls included six boundaries and four maximums. 

Earlier, during his commentary stint, Sunil Gavaskar likened the Indian wicket-keeper to Dhoni, commending Jurel's sharp instincts and suggesting he could be the next MS Dhoni in the making.
