With a need to avoid a series white-wash, Indian bowlers stood up and helped Rohit Sharma and Co. script a memorable win under two days in the recently concluded second Test against South Africa in Cape Town.

Architects for India's win were Mohammed Siraj and Jasrpit Bumrah, who picked six wickets apiece in the first and second innings, respectively, which helped their win win the encounter by seven wickets and draw the series level.

Bumrah, who is known for his humility and hard work, displayed his big-heartedness during the post-match ceremony, where the ace bowler played the role of a translator for Siraj, who claimed the player of the match award.

Siraj, who claimed a career-best six for 15 on Day 1, when asked about Bumrah's contribution and support, replied that he gains information about the track whenever the MI pacer bowls, which acts as a huge help.

"Jassi bhai Hamesha jaise start karte hain, ek message milta hai – kaun se wicket pe kaisa line and length better hai. Ussey mujhe zyada sochne ki zarurat nahi hoti, usi cheez pe work karunga toh" success milega. Who doosre end pe rehte hain to bohut his achha rehta hai." ("Whenever Jassi bhai starts, I get the message that what type of pitch this is and what will be the ideal lines and lengths to bowl on it. And I know that if I stick to it, I will succeed. I don't need to think too much. When he is bowling at the other end, that in itself is immense help for me.")

However, when broadcasters asked Bumrah to translate, the bowler left out the part where Siraj praised the former and credited all the success to the RCB bowler's hard work.

Here's what Jasprit Bumrah said

"So yeah, because when we play along together, he gets the message earlier because of your experience. We try to analyse the wicket quicker so that communication goes in the bowling circuit that this is the wicket and this is what we are looking to do. So that helps him sometimes."
