A viral video featuring the ICC Chairman, Jay Shah's heartwarming and child-like reaction during the India versus Australia semi-final 1 is going viral and its for all the right reasons. India, who have now entered the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 defeated their arch-nemesis Australia to book a place in the all-important finale.

This victory was personal to every ICT fan as much as it was for the Men In Blue, and clearly an excited Jay Shah resonated with the same feeling. Jay Shah, could not hold his excitement back after a big breakthrough occurred during the match and India bagged a crucial wicket. 

Jay Shah's Excited Reaction After Carey's Wicket


In the 48th over, Alex Carey was growing under India's skin and it was Hardik Pandya and Shreyas Iyer who partnered up to eliminate him. The star all-rounder bowled a slower bumper on the leg and middle. Carey hopped and rolled his wrists, pulled it with soft hands through the backward square leg region. He completed the single and quickly turned back for a second, however Iyer was quick to charge to the ball from the deep and hit the bullseye with a sharp and clean throw. He later on won the Best Fielding Medal for the same wicket.

Carey was slow to turn for the second and was short of his ground and this marked the end of his 61 run-knock. The reactions that followed were more insane, as Jay Shah jumped in happiness and celebrated the big wicket. He seen taking a big gasp as the ball crashes onto the stumps and then later shaking hands with his friend sitting right beside him.

Later on, Shah, who recently became ICC Chairman, was also seen presenting the Player of the Match award to Virat Kohli, for his brilliant innings against Aussies.
