India's T20 World Cup-winning captain, Rohit Sharma, will take field for the first time in the Sri Lanka ODIs since clinching the pinnacle trophy in Barbados on June 29. Ahead of the much-awaited ODI series between India and the hosts, the host broadcasters posted a savage video of Rohit Sharma, where the Indian skipper is seen playing his audacious shots. 

Rohit Sharma, who last toured Sri Lanka for bilaterals back in 2018, scored two back-to-back centuries at Pallekele and Colombo, respectively. 

The broadcasters for the IND-SL series, Sony posted a video, in which initially the Sri Lankan batters are seen some impressive shots. However, further in the video, Rohit betters the rest of the batters with his pure timing and strokeplay.

The video posted by Sony saw a caption reading, "Everyone is a gangster, until the Hitman arrives."

Rohit was seen playing inside-out shots, sweeps, pulls, hoicks and slogs against both spinners and pacers. 

After retiring from the T20Is, Rohit Sharma will now feature for India in ODIs and Tests. His upcoming assignment starts this Friday, where he along with Virat Kohli will be working first time with the newly appointed Gautam Gambhir.

India have recently whitewashed Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series.
