Match 38 of the ongoing Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) 2023 witnessed an unusual sight in the clash between Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers at Bellerive Oval.
Australian bowling all-rounder Heather Graham, who plays for Hurricanes, ended up bowling a bizarre no-ball that became an unexpected highlight of the match.
Graham bowling the ninth over of the Sixers' chase, bowled an overhead no-ball to batter Erin Burns, which funnily went above the latter and wicketkeeper Lizelle Lee as well. Cashing upon the chance, non-strikers Ashleigh Gardner ended up stealing a single, as the over went for just six runs.

Apart from that one delivery, the medium pacer bowled an economic spell, taking three wickets ( Maitlan Brown, Chloe Tryon, and Kate Pelle) and giving away just 18 runs in her quota.
However, the Sixers chased down the 140-run target, courtesy of Mathilda Carmichael's unbeaten 32 off 21, winning the match by three wickets.
Earlier, Graham also signed with the bat for the Hurricanes, smashing a 28-ball 36 laced with three fours and one six, where Lee top-scored with 50, enabling their side to a modest 139-run total.
Meanwhile Graham after her three-wicket haul is now the leading wicket-taker for Hurricanes in WBBL 2023, ahead of Molly Strano (8). The 27-year-old has also scored 109 runs in nine matches for her club.
Hobart are sixth in the WBBL points table, while the Sixers are placed fifth with 10 points.
