Mohammad Kaif is not done with David Warner in a brewing issue since the ICC World Cup 2023 final in Ahmedabad as he took a subtle dig on the experienced Australian opener following India's 4-1 T20I series win against the tourists on Sunday (December 3).

The former India cricketer, who was pleased with the efforts of Suryakumar Yadav's men versus Matthew Wade in the five-match series, tweeted it was the "better team on the field, and on paper" that had won the rubber comprehensively.

Before stumbling at the final hurdle, Rohit Sharma and the rest had pulled off a remarkable nine consecutive victories during the league stage and stormed past historic nemesis New Zealand in the semifinal while Australia played scratchy cricket, lost their first two matches and just about stuttered through the early phase before peaking in the end.

Kaif's Dig Against Warner After T20I Series Win

In an unexpected saga between the two cricketers, Warner had lashed at Kaif for insisting that the better side on paper did not lift the World Cup crown.

"I like MK, issue is it does not matter what’s on paper. At the end of the day, you need to perform when it matters. That’s why they call it a final. That’s the day that counts and it can go either way, that’s sports. 2027 here we come," Warner had tweeted in response to Kaif's remarks.

The former India player had said on Star Sports, "I can never accept that the best team has won the World Cup. The Indian team is the best team on paper."

Now in a latest response and dig against Warner, Kaif tweeted in celebrations of the better team "on the field and on paper" winning the T20I series 4-1.
