The IPL 2023 Final between the Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans was pushed to the reserve day due to the persistent rain that took place on Sunday evening. 

Fans eagerly waited for the match to commence, but that never happened as the rain god had some other plans. The cricket lovers who came to watch the epic finale, were left disappointed. Later in the night, a video was surfaced on the social media, which showed several CSK fans sleeping on the floor at the railway station.

Several CSK fans wearing the Yellow Jersey were spotted at the railway station, perhaps wanting to get a glimpse of Mahendra Singh Dhoni one last time.

This is the first time in the history of the IPL that the final has been shifted to another day. The news came in as a disappointment for many fans, who waited for hours and had a glimmer of hope. At 11 PM, the officials made the announcement that the IPL final has been pushed to the reserve day.

The cut-off time for a 5-over game on Monday is 12:06 AM IST (Tuesday). Meanwhile, the cut-off time for a Super Over is 12:56 AM. If both the scenarios are not possible, GT will be named the IPL champions, since they finished on top of the league table, ahead of CSK.
