Rohit Sharma had a strong start in IPL 2024 but couldn't maintain the momentum in the later stages of the tournament. 

However, he will be looking to bounce back as his team, Mumbai Indians (MI), faces Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at his favorite ground, Eden Gardens, tomorrow.

Eden Gardens holds a special place in the heart of Indian captain Rohit Sharma. He had played great innings at this venue for Indian team and Mumbai Indians.

In the past when asked which team he would like to play for other than Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma had mentioned Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), citing Eden Gardens as a special ground for him. 

Over the years, Rohit has played many memorable innings at this iconic stadium in the capital city of West Bengal.

Rohit Sharma shared a lighthearted moment with young Tilak Varma during practice at Eden Gardens. As Rohit walked around confidently, he noticed Tilak standing casually in slippers.

Rohit jokingly remarked, "Aye Hero, kya kar raha hai bhai? Chappal mein ghoom raha hai. Kya garden hai, mein aaya hoon kya?" Tilak replied, "Hai na bhaiya, Eden Gardens." Amused, Rohit smiled back and asked, "Kya?"

In the last clash, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium after 12 years. 

Now, Mumbai Indians will be looking to win their final away game at Eden Gardens, and they will be expecting Rohit Sharma to score another big innings at this iconic venue.
