Legendary former batter Brian Lara interacted with the Indian team on Wednesday after their practice ahead on the second Test match against West Indies. India won their first Test with big performances from skipper Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Their bold outing helped them secure their first win of the new WTC Cycle and allowed them to establish themselves as a team bound to excel.

The Prince of Trinidad, who was present at the Queen's Park Oval, met the Indian players post their training session. The video of Lara's heartwarming interaction with Indian players was shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter.

Before the second Test against West Indies in Port of Spain, Virat Kohli unexpectedly ran into the iconic cricketer Brian Lara. As the Indian team practiced, Kohli approached Lara to greet him, but their conversation was abruptly interrupted by a phone call that Lara had to take. After a quick hug, Kohli proceeded towards the pavilion.

In addition to Kohli, Lara also engaged in discussions with Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, and Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Virat Kohli, is about to participate in his 500th international cricket match. This significant milestone will be reached during the upcoming 2nd Test against the West Indies, commencing on July 20. By achieving this feat, he will join the ranks of only three other Indian players who have reached the same number of appearances. Kohli is also one of just two Indian batsmen who have amassed more than 25,000 runs across various formats of the game.
