The Indian cricket team appears confident and relaxed as they prepare for the second and final Test against the West Indies, which is scheduled to start on Thursday, July 20 at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain.

Team India swaps nets for football ahead of second Test

Their morale is likely boosted by the comprehensive win in the opening Test where they demolished West Indies by an innings and 141 runs to set a dominant tone for the series.

Ahead of the second Test, a shift from the traditional nets practice saw the team participate in a football session. In an exclusive video with OneCricket, Indian cricketers Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, and Ishan Kishan, among others, were seen engaged in an invigorating football drill. The game involved them passing the ball without letting it touch the ground, reflecting a breezy mood within the team.

Meanwhile, in the run-up to the second Test, India's captain, Rohit Sharma, subtly revealed the team's intended strategy. Rather than adopting a drastically different game plan, Sharma hinted at minor tweaks based on match conditions.

Rohit stated to the media before the match that in Dominica, they had a definite understanding of the pitch and the conditions. However, in the Trinidad, there is some uncertainty due to the possibility of rain. Despite this, the Indian skipper doesn't anticipate significant alterations. He reckoned that based of the conditions they encounter, they will take a call.

While the spin bowling duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who decimated the West Indian batting order in the first Test are set to play, the pace attack might see a change with Navdeep Saini or Mukesh Kumar potentially stepping in. Another potential addition could be all-rounder Axar Patel, who may have a chance to prove himself in the concluding Test.
