The India's Champions Trophy squad was finally announced on Saturday in a press conference attended by captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector, Ajit Agarkar. Not many surprises were there as India received a massive boost in the form of Jasprit Bumrah's inclusion in the team. However, there was a surprise omission of fast bowler, Mohammed Siraj.

The pacer had an average 2024 across formats and the selectors instead went ahead with Arshdeep Singh in the squad, alongside the returning Mohammed Siraj. Many selection decisions were questioned, but there was one particular moment which caught everyone's attention.

Before the press conference started, Rohit Sharma and Agarkar had a discussion related to the new BCCI policy implemented after the BGT loss. Rohit forgot that the mic was on as he started discussing about the new rules with the chief selector, and looked quite stressed.

He stated: "Mere ko 1 dhed ghanta baithna padega. ye sab bol rahe hai mere ko family-wamily ka."

The entire conversation wasn't completed as someone interrupted Rohit and the press conference started.

What is the new BCCI rules which Rohit was talking about?

After India's 3-1 loss in the Test series vs Australia, the BCCI introduced a new 10-point rules. One of the pointers stated that families can join if the player is away for over 45 days. The duration should be one visit per series, lasting up to two weeks.

This pointer received considerable backlash from the fans as many believed that the real elephant in the room wasn't discussed, but BCCI indirectly blamed the wives of cricketers for the series loss Vs Australia.
