The hype and excitement surrounding the 2023 World Cup is not confined within the cricketing fraternity alone. The sporting carnival in India seems to have rippled through other sports all across the world, with several leading personalities showcasing their love and support for cricket’s grandest event.

Moreover, certain personalities also seem to have set their favorites already, as evidenced by a recent wave of wishes. Just a day after WWE superstar Drew McIntyre expressed his support for the Indian cricket team, German football legend Thomas Müller has now wished Rohit Sharma and co. for the tournament.

Müller backs Rohit Sharma to achieve “Teen ka Dream”

German footballer and Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller has extended his best wishes to the Indian cricket team for the ongoing 2023 World Cup. The 34-year-old even echoed Team India’s slogan ‘Teen ka Dream’, signifying the nation’s dream of capturing their third-ever ODI World Cup. Müller said:

“Hey Rohit, wishing you and the team all the very best for the 2023 World Cup in India. Teen ka Dream.”

Notably, Müller also showcased his support for the Indian cricket team by sporting the ‘Men in Blue’ jersey prior to the launch of the 2019 edition of the tournament.

The ‘Men in Blue’, meanwhile, are slated to commence their 2023 World Cup campaign with a match against Australia. Their much-awaited fixture will be played on Sunday, October 8, and will be hosted by the iconic M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

The Indian will subsequently face Afghanistan in Delhi on October 11 before shifting to Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium for their high-profile clash against arch-rivals Pakistan.
