The caravan for the T20 World Cup 2024 will move its base from the Nassau County International Stadium to the Central Broward Regional Park in Florida for the business end of the group stage round.
The Stadium is set to host four crucial group-stage games which will see teams like India and Pakistan also in action for their respective ties. Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka and Nepal game was set to take place at this venue on June 11, but rain played a spoilsport and the game was abandoned without a single ball being bowled.
Talking about the rain, the weather is pretty bad in Florida as recently, heavy rainfall triggered a flash flood emergency in the city. The visuals that are surfing on the internet are pretty bad as several cars submerged underwater, and the fans are worried whether any of the scheduled games at this venue will go ahead as planned. Here is the video of the visuals.
Notably, India are set to face Canada at this venue on June 15, but a wash-out would not trouble the Men in Blue as they have already qualified for the next round. However, the Pakistani side and fans are worried, as they are also set to face Ireland here on June 16 and a wash-out would see them bow out of the tournament.
Not only that, but Pakistani fans would be hoping for USA's clash against Ireland on June 14 to go as planned as a wash-out there would also knock them out.
